The girls

sweet pictures that needed their own post...Breanna and Avari are partners. I love watching them play together.
Probably because they both like playing in the dirt...
until they see mommy watching!

pollywog pool

our neighborhood park is still recovering from all the rain, and this place in particular has thrived. it absolutely teems with tadpoles.
Which must be saved, by being captured and stuck in a tank in our house. The pool is slowly drying up, and leaving more and more tadpoles struggling in the water.
What can i say, she's just cute no matter how you toss the dice.
yay pollywogs!

Girls crafts

We've been kind of busy around here (okay, not really, but honestly you get a lot of nothing done with a newborn who nurses. all. the. time)

However, one thing that's been going on is these two girls...
...have been spending a lot of time at granma and granpa's house, making sewing crafts. First it was the purses, then these cute rag bowls, and now aprons. Aren't they cute?

St Nicholas Tag!

After Avari's birthday, we had a St Nick's dinner
The girls got new Hannah dresses, which they wore to church.
Boys got flannel dress shirts, which Dan wore with his 'spy tie' (a bow tie I happened to find at Target! Club Penguin is our friend!)
At church, we were surprised by a 'bishop' named St Nick, and the kids gathered around him at the front to hear the story of who Saint Nicholas really was...I wish I'd had my camera, Ava's face was so full of glorious rapture. He did look rather fancy in his gold and cream vestments and miter. He had a shepherd's crook, and told the story of the first candy cane. Fun fun fun!
