Out of all the tadpoles that we saved last week from the oncoming drought...there were thousands left to turn into teeny frogs. Walking through the park, we discovered that the birds were having a BUFFET on our lil frogs!! Ack. We saved probably about fifty of them, moving them down the creek to our backyard....
adding water so that they have lots of moisture.
less than a quarter of an inch long, many fit into one cup.
reminds me of Nathan as a newborn :-)
we're hoping they'll eat the mosquitos
and grow much larger
the squirrels and birds have a bad balance in our backyard...usually fighting enough that they don't eat the frogs anyway.
