Why does it cost as much for the PART as it would for an entirely new freezer? I mean, part of me wants to be green and say it's better for the environment if we keep our oldie moldie freezer and just replace the part...after all, we'd keep 20 cubic feet out of the local dump. However, part of me is like, if I'm paying THAT much, I should be able to get a freezer with a complete seal, no mildew stains and a working lock.
Sigh...it's not easy, being green.

Being green isnt just about keeping things out of landfills. Its also about being energy efficient. If you get an energy star freezer you will still be green. So go green and get a new freezer!
